CIB wants your comics for the Berliner Fenster! Deadline July 25 2025!
Since 2019, every year in the spring ComicInvasionBerlin features comics on the Berlin subway screen program ‘Berliner Fenster’ - send us your comic story for season 8!
Content
- You have to live in Berlin and must be able to issue us an invoice - for selected stories a fee of 200€ is paid
- Autobiographical or fictional, color or black+white, all styles are welcome
- The story should work as a standalone
- We prefer if your tell a short story instead of sending one-screen-gag cartoons
- Stories will be broadcast in spring 2026, don’t relate too much to current events
- Be mindful that the story will be seen by children too - no disturbing visual content please (violence, etc.)
- We prefer stories created for the Berliner Fenster format instead of using existing material
Format
- The story can have between 4-8 panels/screens, you should be able to read it comfortably in 40 seconds
- No tiny details - the subway audience reads your story from a distance of up to several meters
- At least 30pt font size - stories without text are great too
- No AI-generated material allowed
- Send us your comic story in separate JPG files in 72 DPI resolution, in two versions: 800x600 pixels (for the subway) and 2400x1800 pixels (for the CIB website)
- Please add Alt Text to your website resolution JPGs for more accessibility
- If you use Google Drive, send us a folder with 2 sub folders ‘Web’ and ‘Ubahn’ with the two versions
Please send us a text file with the following information for the website:
- Alt text for each page (the text in the images, or image descriptions if applicable), max. 200 characters
- A web address (your website or the URL of a social media profile)
- A note about your pronouns
Max one story per artist can be accepted.
