Description

Comics are more than just entertainment—they can create resistance, initiate debates and bring about change. In this panel discussion, #LeaveNoOneBehind and renowned illustrators will talk about how comics as a medium can strengthen civil society movements and make political grievances visible.

The focus is on the “Zero Years” campaign by #LeaveNoOneBehind, which draws attention to the criminalization of refugees. We will discuss together:

  • How can comics reflect racism and inequality?
  • What responsibility do artists have in depicting marginalized people?
  • How can illustration be a tool for political change and civil society resistance?

Join us and discover how images become protest—and how art can change the world.
