Description
Dive into the multi-layered world of comics and their connection to skateboard culture—from antique skate comics or legendary magazine covers to skateboards with comic references, from Spider-Man to the Simpsons!
Skateboarding comics have been around since the late 1950s and each subsequent decade has had its own individual zeitgeist. Did you know, for example, that skateboarding comics aren't just about the “wild” hippie world of the 1970s, as some are about mental health or empowering marginalised communities (BIPoC, LGBT, ...) within the growing skateboarding scene?
BYOB! Bring your boards with you! There is a mini-ramp in the hotel (room: Sissy).
On 17 April at 19:00, there will also be another exhibition opening in the hotel (room: FKKB).
There is also the Olivia Owl Comic Library in the hotel (room: C1) if you want to browse a bit beforehand.
- Access to all rooms is barrier-free via lifts!
- There is a wheelchair-accessible toilet on the ground floor located in the direction of the parking lot (in front of the automatic door, on the left).
